Unforgettable experience at the Fall High Point Furniture Market

Have you ever heard of the High Point fall market in North Carolina? Well, let me tell you, it's a furniture lover's paradise. I had the privilege of attending the semiannual event this past October, and it was a trip I will never forget.

With over 2,000 exhibitors in about 180 buildings, the market spans over 11 million square feet. As an interior designer, I was like a kid in a candy store. From glamorous showrooms to innovative new collections, I couldn't get enough.

One of my favorite showrooms was Verellen. As soon as I stepped in, I was transported to Europe. With the founders being Belgian, Verellen has maintained a strong connection to their heritage and it shows in their furniture. And being located in High Point, the mecca of furniture, just adds to the allure of the brand.

But the real highlight of the trip was the member-only cocktail party at Eichholtz showroom. With nearly 4,000 designs, Eichholtz is a luxury furniture and accessory wholesaler with a subtly modern take on classic designs. The showroom was stunning, and I found myself drawn to their use of materials and finishes.

Staying at the Old Brookstown Inn just added to the charm of the trip. The repurposed brick factory turned hotel was steeped in history, and I loved learning about its past.

Attending the High Point fall market was not only inspiring, but it also reinforced the importance of keeping up with the latest design trends and products. As interior designers, it's our job to give our clients the most up-to-date designs, and attending events like this helps to spark our creativity and keep our projects fresh.

Overall, my trip to High Point fall market was wonderful and inspiring. As an enthusiastic and passionate interior designer, attending events like this always leaves me feeling creatively invigorated. And with a touch of irony, it also reminds me of how much more furniture I need in my own home!
